Using MovieShare
By installing the app or using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use MovieShare. The beta may change, pause, or end while the product is being tested.
What the service does
MovieShare ranks movies from public catalog metadata and preferences stored on your phone. It can exchange a timestamped Profile snapshot by QR and calculate a local Group Score. It does not sell tickets, provide streaming access, or guarantee that a title is available in your region.
Responsible use
You may use MovieShare for personal, lawful purposes. You may not:
- interfere with the app, website, catalog service, or their security controls;
- automate requests in a way that harms service availability or provider limits;
- misrepresent MovieShare as endorsed by TMDB, JustWatch, a store, or another third party;
- use catalog data in a way that violates a provider's terms or another person's rights.
Your local data
MovieShare does not provide an account, sync service, or cloud backup for Ratings and Friend Snapshots. You control the device and the QR codes you show. Deleting app data or uninstalling may permanently erase your MovieShare history. Read the privacy policyfor the complete data inventory.
Movie data and outside services
Movie information comes from TMDB. Streaming availability is sourced from JustWatch through TMDB and can contain delays or gaps. Outside links and services have their own terms and privacy practices. MovieShare does not control them.

Beta availability and warranty
MovieShare is provided as available for testing, without a promise that it will always be available, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose. Recommendations are suggestions, not professional advice. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the owner is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the beta.
Nothing in these terms removes rights that applicable consumer law does not allow you to waive.
Changes and contact
Updated terms will appear here with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Questions can be sent through the support page.
